CMMC 2.0: Why Banning Tiktok on US Devices is a Good Idea

The United States has recently implemented new cybersecurity regulations, known as CMMC 2.0, to protect the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) from cyber threats. As part of these efforts, the government has banned the popular social media app Tiktok on government-issued devices such as the Army, the Marine Corps, the Air Force, and the Coast Guard for the last three years. Additionally, a growing number of universities, such as the University of Texas at Austin, Auburn University, and Boise State University, have blocked the app on their campus Wi-Fi networks.
